KEITH NATHAN'S VERY HAPPY EASTER |
Keith Nathan of the Paignton Sea Anglers, showed the locals how to catch top quality Plaice!
Patsy & I had just re-launched "Smokin Bloata" after her winter service and met Mike Johnson returning to the public slipway alongside the Higher Ferry, in his own small boat, "Panacea" a 16 foot Orkney, after a very successful day out with his pal, Keith, fishing a mark in Torbay. Mike showed me a huge Plaice, caught by Keith, which I estimate was in excess of 5lbs, together with two other fish around the 3½lb mark. The fish all fell to a cocktail of crab & worm. When weighed later that evening. on shore at the Paignton Club, the big Plaice scaled 5lbs 3ozs 3dram. That is one heck of a way to celebrate Easter! |
