It proved to be ideal, with a choice of two different included tip sections, which gave the versatility to use it with a float or with a very sensitive tip to show bite detection while ledgering.

Of course if you are a fresh water fisherman, you could use it to catch that big Barbel.

This model, in common with the other models in the ATD Platinum range has a calibrated pre-set adjustment for the lever drag mechanism, which allows the clutch to be perfectly pre-set at repeatable and reliable settings. The patented twin clutch on all reels in the "Accurate" range acts on both ends of the spool. The fibre washers are in contact with a titanium disc at opposite ends of every spool. You can be certain that the clutch is progressive and will not 'snatch' as line is pulled off under load by a hard fighting trophy fish.

I have landed several huge Eels and seen my angling pals land Congers in excess of 100 lbs on this particular reel, with minimum effort. It handled them with ease. It is ideal for landing huge Ray and Skate in UK waters, or Marlin and Sailfish in warmer climates. Very rare, hard to find, Morrum 7700CL. It is an Abu CL Morrum, Laser Etched, Anodized Aluminium, one piece machined frame, with level wind, 7700 CL. From the days when all Abu reels were manufactured in Sweden.

It is in the original box complete with its wrench and unused rod clamp for the collector, or stylish angler. Lovingly used but well maintained condition. Has some scratches on body of reel; the result of regular use. I have caught some very big fish on this reel. The spool is filled with around 300 yards of smoke grey Berkley Fireline Braid line (20 lb b.s. over mono backing).
