DUBARRY GOR-TEX STRETCH YACHTING BOOTS

I saw a pair of Dubarry “Shamrock” breathable Gore-Text lined stretch yachting boots in a local chandlery.

They feature non-slip soles and brown leather foot with a dark blue waterproof fabric leg.

Unlike Wellington boots, they are completely breathable and so are far more comfortable to wear.

I was reluctant to pay the asking price of more than £159, so again I went shopping on the Internet.  I eventually purchased my own pair for £120 from www.landandwaterleisure.co.uk who are based in Cardiff.  I hunted them down via that faithful and reliable Internet Search Engine, “Google”.

I’ve been wearing mine for the past couple of weeks and I am reluctant to take them off.  They fit like a glove.  They are warm, without getting sweaty.  They were quite expensive but worth every penny.

Footnote:  After 6 years of hard use I recently had these boots re-soled and heeled at a local shoe repairer.  They are fine once more and still in daily use.

I thought it was time to purchase a replacement pair of the same boot.  The price had increased to a tad more than £200.  I kept my eyes open and found the same boot on sale in a local Brixham based Chandlery, where I bought yet another pair of the same boots for just £150.
