SHAKESPEARE UGLY STIK
"ATLANTIS SALT" 30/50 LB CLASS ROD |

I have caught several angry Conger Eels in excess of 50 lbs on my new Shakespeare Ugly Stik “Atlantis Salt” 30/50 lb rod. The tip is sensitive, you can readily spot the gentle, tentative bite of a big Conger Eel. The shiny black "Howald Process" blank, with its blue whippings looks great and has plenty of backbone to handle big fish with ease. The ‘Aftco’ Braid roller eyes are perfectly spaced and complement the test curve of the rod blank when under load and my 65 lb braid line ran perfectly through them, The black alloy screw reel fittings are solid and workmanlike and the black Duplon grips are twist free and feel really solid to handle. There is a gimbal fitting on the end of the butt. The 8 foot rod length is ideal, particularly when subduing big fish on the longer traces which I personally prefer. It allows leverage to be exerted when playing hard fighting, quality fish. If you hunt big fish, these rods offer top quality at reasonable cost. See them in a shop near you for around £94 rrp. How do Shakespeare offer this premium quality tackle at such economical prices? They perform precisely as one would expect and represent excellent value for money. Ask for catalogue reference 1479/030 if your dealer has not seen them yet. This rod is also available in 20/30 lb and 50/80 lb class. I was so impressed that I have bought my own pair of these superb “Shakespeare” rods with my own hard earned cash. I commend them to you. I know you will not be disappointed.
