REPLACEMENT ABEC 5 BEARINGS FOR OKUMA "MAGNETIX" MULTIPLIER REEL
 

Okuma "Magnetix" Reels and ABEC Replacement Bearings - Paul Bright of "Reel Value" Emailed to say that Okuma have produced a new range of casting reel, (which some people may say, look very similar in style to another manufacturer's range).  The difference is that the new Okuma range incorporate magnetic overrun braking, similar to that found in models from Penn and Abu.  They do look quite tasty.

You may never have heard of ABEC bearings.  These are of the quality used in satellites.  They require no maintenance and will last for years.  The ball bearings are caged within a Teflon type material which keeps them lubricated and rust free.  These are the quality of bearings which are fitted as standard in my favourite "Accurate" range of very expensive and top quality USA made reels.
